Maryant es Asesor Principal de Políticas en European Digital Rights (EDRi) y abogado admitido en el Colegio de Abogados de Madrid. Maryant defiende los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales en línea en la Unión Europea. Trabaja en vigilancia y aplicación de la ley, responsabilidad de intermediarios (comercio electrónico, incitación al odio, lucha contra el terrorismo, protección infantil, desinformación), comercio digital, neutralidad de la red y transparencia.

Antes de unirse a EDRi en 2014, ganó experiencia en el bufete de abogados CCA-ONTIER, Décathlon, el Ministerio de Obras Públicas de España, la Sociedad de Juicios Simulados de Derecho Europeo y la Universidad CEU San Pablo. Maryant se graduó de la Universidad CEU San Pablo, la Universidad Católica de Lille, el Instituto de Empresa y la Universidad Católica Portuguesa. Tiene un LLM en Derecho en contexto europeo y global.

Maryant is a Senior Policy Advisor at European Digital Rights (EDRi) and a lawyer admitted to the Madrid Bar association. Maryant defends human rights and fundamental freedoms online in the European Union. She works on surveillance and law enforcement, intermediary liability (e-commerce, hate speech, counter-terrorism, child protection, misinformation), digital trade, net neutrality and transparency. 

Prior to joining EDRi in 2014, she gained experience at the law firm CCA-ONTIER, Décathlon, the Spanish Ministry of Public Works, the European Law Moot Court Society and the CEU San Pablo University. Maryant received her education from the CEU San Pablo University, the Université Catholique de Lille, the Instituto de Empresa and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She holds an LLM in Law in a European and Global Context. 

Maryant is the author of several publications and speaker at multiple conferences in Europe and around the world.
